Interoperability services

The 21st century citizen-centred state and service-oriented society requires information systems to function as an integrated whole to support citizens and organisations. There must be interoperability between different organisations and information systems.

In other words they must be able to work together and data only needs to be requested from the citizen once. Estonia’s solution for maintaining a modern state is X-Road, which saves Estonians 1345 years of working time every year.

UXP

Cybernetica‘s Unified eXchange Platform (UXP) is a technology that enables peer-to-peer data exchange over encrypted and mutually authenticated channels. It is based on a decentralised architecture where each peer has an information system that will be connected with other peers’ systems. Cybernetica developed UXP based on its experience with the Estonian X-Road system as well as independent research in the fields of interoperability, information security, and information governance. The platform has been adopted for e-governance, business infrastructure, and healthcare services.

Today, UXP is used by governments including those of Aruba, Bahamas, Benin, Greenland, Haiti, Namibia, Tunisia, and Ukraine, also by the financial sector in Japan, healthcare sector in the US and has been piloted by NATO.
