IT Law Conference on Legal Technology

ICT Week opening party “Rock IT”

RockIT is a festival for the music bands of ICT companies’ where 10 different groups will be playing their favourite songs and timeless rock music. Garage48 SpaceTech

Garage48, together with Mektory, University of Tartu and Tartu Observatory, just to name the main partners, will organise a double hackathon for the ICT Week. The hackathon for ideation, ActInSpace, will take place all over Europe on 20-21 May with the main hackathon “Garage48 SpaceTech” to follow on 27-29 May. Both events will demonstrate what Estonia has to offer in the innovation of space technology. We will attract the attention of space enthusiasts from all over Europe and get them to come together in order to hack real solutions. More information: here

Tallinn e-Governance Conference 2016

This high-level conference will focus on e-governance’s impact on a country’s transparency development and related economic growth. Discussions are led by top political and business representatives who will share their ideas and experiences and which in turn, will be complemented by the audience’s active participation via Q&A sessions. On day 2, the general focus will be on regional cooperation development with discussions taking place in three working groups and dedicated to the impact of e-governance tools on the economies and societies of the EU Eastern Partnership countries and Western Balkan countries and on the challenges and benefits of using e-governance tools in very small countries. Industry 4.0 in Practice

The conference explores case studies of successful implementation of Industry 4.0 principles. During the conference we bring together Estonian ICT and industry companies and industry leaders from Germany and the Nordic countries to lay the groundwork for efficient value chains in the future. In collaboration with Tallinn Science Park Technopol, an interesting networking event will be organised in addition to company visits on the second day. Green IT – Norway-Estonia cooperation seminar

Never before has industry taken such large steps towards making production greener. Working on sustainable solutions has provided new opportunities for both the industrial and ICT sectors. Cooperation between these different sectors, as well as between countries, has been encouraged by the Green Industry Innovation programme of Norway Grants, which supports green business ideas and new environmental technologies. The Green IT seminar will speak about stories of partnership and the realization of ideas in green industry innovation. Keynote speaker Anita Krohn Traaseth, CEO of Innovation Norway, was named as one of “Top 20 Women in Business in Northern Europe”, “Top 50 Most Inspiring Women in European Tech” and “Best Female Leader in the IT Industry”.
