Estonia and Japan to Cooperate on Cyber Security

Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas recently traveled to Japan. During the visit, Rõivas met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to discuss cooperation regarding strengthening cyber security ahead of the 2020 Olympics to be held in Tokyo. This cooperation will include joint cyber defense drills.

The leaders also discussed strengthening economic ties. Prime Minister Rõivas visited the Estonian startup, Lingvist, which opened a new office in Tokyo. Lingvist is an Estonian startup that allows the user to learn a new language in 200 hours. Lingvist is considered one of the newest rising stars of the startup scene in Estonia.
