This episode brings together three inspiring conversations with Estonian creatives and visionaries who are boldly experimenting at the intersection of art and innovation.

From AI-written plays to VR choreography and digital fashion, the episode explores not only how artists are using digital tools but also what it reveals about us as humans. If you’re curious about where the future of creativity is headed, this episode is a must-listen.

Mart-Matteus Kampus, filmmaker, writer, and theatre practitioner, discussed:

  • How Consilium, an improvisational play co-written with ChatGPT, turned into a live performance where AI responded in real time to audience-generated prompts.

  • The creative limitations of AI in storytelling its resistance to conflict, lack of subtext, and tendency to produce morally perfect but dramatically dull content.

Liis Vares, choreographer, and Taavet Jansen, interdisciplinary artist, covered:

  • Their project Still Moving, which uses VR and mixed reality to turn audience members into co-performers, blending physical presence with digital expression.

  • How AI is used to analyse and transform audience input into immersive text-based environments, helping create a “choreography of thoughts” that connects minds across physical space.

Xenia Joost, fashion designer, sustainability advocate, and Deputy Secretary General for the Arts at the Ministry of Culture, shared:

  • The practical uses of digital fashion in industry, from eliminating wasteful physical samples to using 3D models in e-commerce and marketing campaigns.

  • The challenges of reducing textile waste, noting that overconsumption is driven by emotional habits, not just the need for clothing and digital fashion alone won’t solve that.
