Estonia has been recognised as the Master of Reinvention at the annual London Business School Real Innovation Awards. The Real Innovation Awards celebrate stories that make innovation happen and Estonia’s e-government transformation was the Judge’s Choice in the Masters of Reinvention category.
The Masters of Reinvention Award is for the individual or company that most successfully reinvented itself through disrupting its existing processes. Estonia’s nomination was based on the digital transformation that started after regaining independence in 1991 and the steps that followed to build the “most advanced digital society in the world”. The nomination’s focus, more specifically, was on the successful implementation of e-identity, the e-residency programme and also becoming a startup country.
Other contenders in the Masters of Reinvention category included Blackberry, Adobe, Ocado, and Memrise, which was also recognised in the category as the People’s Choice.
