    Test City provides infrastructure for the testing companies, whether office space or the streets and roads on campus, a curious and tech-savvy talent community, and data for value creation. In addition, mentoring, cooperation with universities, data analytics, technical support, marketing assistance and consulting to find funding for projects are offered. The initial part introduces and demonstrates the underlying mechanisms involved in digitizing a society, an overview of the main challenges and policies, an understanding of the infrastructure, e-solutions and services.

    First global Cross-Border Smart City Centre of Excellence.  The CoE will match existing leading Smart City research centres around the world by focusing on five key domains for clean and sustainable Smart City development: mobility, energy and the built environment combined with governance, urban analytics and data management.

    Smart street lighting

    with Cityntel/Lumoflex

    Cityntel is an innovative Estonian company offering a unique next generation Smart Street Light Control solution Lumoflex. Cityntel is commercializing a decade of R&D from Tallinn University of Technology. Cityntel’s solution has been successfully integrated with products of several luminaire manufacturers and commercial pilots have been installed in Estonia, Germany, Denmark and Greece.

    Processing mobile big data

    with Positium

    Positium Data Mediator is a scalable Mobile Big Data processing and analytics engine. Its applications include population statistics, mobility studies and tourism data. The Positium Data Mediator was created using the methodology that was developed with the University of Tartu. Its purpose is processing location data from several Mobile Network Operators into meaningful and reliable statistical indicators regarding the aggregated locations and movement flows of people.

    Bikeep is the leading smart commercial bike parking provider in the world. They solve big infrastructure problems with tailored micro mobility solutions for municipalities, transit companies, commercial and residential properties.

    Smart Street

    with Eliko

    Smart and wireless street light luminaires can act as service gateways for other street level IoT devices. This enables the creation of new smart urban services based on connected devices that make autonomous decisions. Eliko has already created one such citywide network of smart things in Tallinn.

The Briefing Centre is conveniently located just a 2-minute drive from the airport and around 10- to 15-minute drive from the city centre.

You will find us on the ground floor of Valukoja 8, at the central entrance behind the statue of Mr Ernst Julius Öpik. We will meet the delegation at the building’s reception. Kindly note that a booking is required to visit us.
