    The Estonian Police and Border Guard Board is the governmental agency responsible for identity document, citizenship and residence permit proceedures. The agency has developed an online system for self-service and application management.

    Courtal is the most advanced e-court information system. It allows to submit claims online, participate in court proceedings over the web and the efficient management of cases. Courtal takes into consideration the once-only principle, digital security and  interoperability for case management.

    Courtal is a court information system that digitizes procedures to keep them simple, transparent, and fast. Removing redundant processes and duplicate paperwork from court procedures allows to build more efficient court systems. When all judical proceedings are on one digital platform, it makes it much easier for every user to have access to relevant information and the system itself is more transparent and secure.
