e-Education Solutions From the World’s Leading Digital Nation

Estonia, the leading education nation in Europe (No 1. in the PISA test in Europe), shared all of its digital education tools to support other countries’ education systems during the COVID-19 crisis. The list of internationally available solutions is available on this page: http://education-nation.99math.com/.

In our first-ever Digital Discussions on September 10th, our Digital Transformation adviser Anett Numa gave an overview of everything Estonia has done to win at e-Education. Your host, e-Estonia’s Digital Transformation Adviser Florian Marcus led a session with three digital e-education solutions – 99math, Clanbeat, and eKool

99math is an online game aimed for K-8th grade kids to accelerate their math skills through fun competition.

Clanbeat keeps teachers and school leaders humanly connected.

eKool is a school management tool bringing together pupils and their families, schools, and supervisory bodies.

Participants got the chance to go in-depth with each solution in dedicated and moderated breakout sessions and post all their queries during a general Q&A session.

e-Estonia live: Quality of life in a digitally advanced country
12. August 2020

Within the first five years of its inception, the e-Residency programme has created a community of 70,000 people from around the world – many of which have created their own Estonian company as a result. Estonia also recently launched the Digital Nomad Visa. This was a fitting setting for three immigrants – our Digital Transformation Adviser Florian Marcus, Alex Wellmann, Marketing and Communication Team Lead for the e-Residency programme, and Swiss e-Resident-turned-actual-resident Oliver Gasser who is also the Founder and CEO of moduulo – to take the stage to discuss what it’s like to live in Estonia, not just from an entrepreneurial point of view, but also for regular residents.

e-Estonia live: Using machine learning to lift the quality of life

30. July 2020

Our last live of July took a deeper dive into machine vision and how it helps cities and businesses improve the quality of life in the urban environment. e-Estonia’s Digital Transformation Adviser Florian Marcus discussed with Karen K. Burns, CEO and Co-Founder at Visory, a machine vision and urban analytics platform, and Ursel Velve, Management Board Member and Head of Innovation at the business district Ülemiste City how they help smarten up entire business districts and what the future of tech in urban areas might look like.
