Monaco takes Estonia as an example.

While the topic of attractiveness of Monaco is at the heart of the concerns, Michel Dotta, Chairman of the CRC (Chamber of Economic Development), wished to present to the most important political and economic actors of the Principality, the interest that Monaco has in term of image and efficiency to switch to “all electronic”.

Is there an existing model? Estonia.

This is the first country to have gone so far in terms of e-administration and e-services: around 90% of the population is registered with the electronic id card which is used as an id card, as a digital signature, as a credit card, a card that permits you to vote, to build a business and much more, all on line, completely paperless.

Last June during the Prince Albert II official visit to Estonia, one delegation of CDE discovered the “ICT Demo Center” in Tallinn, non-profit organization, which promotes the partnership between a visionary government and pro-active private sector.

As an answer to the CDE invitation, The General Director of the ICT Demo Center, Indrek Vimberg, has come to the Principality, to present e-Estonia solutions for the higher executives of the private and public sector.

The ICT Demo Center has demonstrated, how simplified all the procedures of 1.340.000 Estonian inhabitants are in a territory of 45.227 km2», Michael Dotta said. “Monaco can try to do the same with its 38.881 inhabitants in 2 km2. At the same time the private sector has to keep the force of this project and propose new solutions to the Principality Government”
