Prime minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi visits Demo Center
Prime minister Kosovo Hashim Thaçi, who is on an official visit in Estonia from 15th to 17th of March, visited the Estonian ICT Demo Center on tuesday. The prime minister was accompanied by a delegation with members including the ministry of public administration Arsim Bajrami and minister of trade and industry Lutfi Zharku.
The Republic of Kosovo, which gained its independence only two years ago, wishes to co-operate with Estonia mainly in the field of information and communication technologies. Managing director of the Demo Center Indrek Vimberg said that the guests were most intrested in digital signature, digital pension registry, e-customs and e-health solutions, wanting to learn from experiences in these areas in Estonia and speed up reforms in Kosovo.
In addition to visiting the Demo Center, the prime minister also met with president Toomas Hendrik Ilves, prime minister Andrus Ansip and president of Riigikogu Ene Ergma.
